Kambaku Safari Lodge
Enjoy the moment
At Kambaku you find various safari offers and leisure-time activities. If you'd like to get close to Africa's wildlife, our expert guides can bring you intimate encounters whether you're on horseback, up a raised hide, on a jeep tour or travelling by bicycle or foot. You can also opt to explore our reserve and its creatures by yourself, for example by hiking on our 60 marked walking trails or guided by GPS.
Special activities for the children mean that the adults have time to pursue their own adventures such as clay pigeon shooting, walking, horse-riding or a romantic bush picnic.
Our garden is the best place to lounge, recover and to refuel while resting on a deckchair or floating in the swimming pool. A small library for guests offers travel literature and some short crime stories and novels to lend and return.
Alternatively, there is beach volleyball, table tennis, a badminton field, archery or clay pigeon shooting, horse-riding training or rides into the bush. To ensure that boredom never sets in, we also offer open-air nine men's morris and draughts as well as board games in the lodge. Children love scrambling about on the nearby sandy play park’s ropes, swings or the fairy house. Of course, we offer bicycles for kids, toys, puzzles and even a special wildlife or pony programme, too.
Whatever you do, please take care of yourself: the sun is intense in Namibia. Kambaku is situated on a plateau about 1,600 m above sea level. Always wear sunblock and drink enough water during the day and during your activities.

KAMBAKU BUSH CAMP - TENTED CAMP ADVENTURE IN THE BUSH
A unique adventure you won't want to miss is an overnight staying admidst the bush savannah. A slow nature drive in the late afternoon brings you to Kambaku's Bush Camp where you spend the night around the fire. It's here, where you can feel Namibia's heartbeat, surrounded by the sounds of wildlife and nature. Safari chairs, wooden tables, a chattering camp fire under the wide starry sky, plus a braai experience, savouring Kambaku Lodge’s outdoor-cuisine. Your guide is always at your side and keeps you safe in the wilderness.
The bush camp provides cots in two-person tents that have been raised on stilts as preventive security against wild animals. The view over the savannah is awesome and, snuggled warmly in bed, we watch out for animals and count the shooting stars as they fade over the sky. Your daily requirements are easily accommodated with a shower and WC. Your guide ensures that you enjoy danger-free hours in a natural setting. After breakfast and a hike through the savannah, you head back to the lodge.
