Team Safaris
Enjoy Namibia together
To friends, new acquaintances, solo travellers seeking like-hearted contacts, or families who can fill a minibus on their own, our short trips are a joy to those keeping an eye on the budget and who have more or less flexible travel schedules. We call such trips TEAM SAFARIS and these offer destinations in various Namibian regions. A maximum of six guests can participate, meaning the individual character of the trip and personal service by the guides remain uppermost.
We are able to offer quite a few of our tours as team safaris, but not all. We undertake trips with overnight stays in other lodges once a month, day excursions at group rate take place once a week. In order to offer the best price deal, we collect all the tour enquiries and communicate the best possible calendar options to you, taking availability into account. You are most welcome to write an e-mail or ask at reception when the tour of your choice will be offered as team safari.

Travel Programme
DAY 1 Travelling past Outjo and Khorixas, we reach the bizarre landscape of Damaraland and pause at the Petrified Forest, claimed to be 240-300 millions of years old. Even if the some 60 fossilised tree trunks have broken into bits and pieces, one can still make out the growth rings. It is thought that the ‘forest’ hails from Angola and was swept there by a huge flood. As we continue, we may see desert elephants in the sparsely populated area. At Twyfelfontein there are some 2 500 rock paintings and engravings to be seen, witnesses to a time long past with values and ideals we struggle to understand today.
DAY 2 Atlantic, here we come! On our way to the coastal town of Swakopmund we stop at the Cape Cross Seal Colony. Thousands of animals live off the Skeleton Coast, drawn by the fish resources of the cold Benguela stream. After a memorable trip through the moon landscape of the Skeleton Coast Park, we reach Swakopmund by nightfall.
DAY 3 Our day starts with a boat trip on the Atlantic Ocean. Accompanied by porpoises and seals, experience the sea air while sipping champagne and eating fresh oysters. You are free to spend the afternoon as you wish. We recommend a city tour and a visit to the small Swakopmund Museum.
DAY 4 The morning sees us leaving either for Kambaku or Windhoek where we wander through the main street before heading for the Hosea Kutako Intern. Airport.

DAY 2 Early morning in Mahango National Park we’ll go stalking elephants, buffaloes and rare antelope like sitatungas, roans and sables. After breakfast we head to eastern Caprivi, arriving early afternoon at our lodge on the Kwando River. Dusk is spent on a river boat watching the reeds for birdlife.
DAY 3 We wander through the reeds and greens wards of the Kwando at sunrise. By afternoon will be in the Susuwe National Park, a pristine and diverse piece of Africa. Following sandy tracks with our 4x4 we make our way through Big Five country.
DAY 4 We turn westwards again in the early morning, along the Caprivi Strip back to the lodge on the Okavango River. Later we’ll visit the Buffalo National Park, where huge herds of buffalo roam. Our travels end back at the lodge to reminisce about the rewarding day.
DAY 5 Today we head southwards to the Etosha National Park, entering at the old fort Namutoni and spending the afternoon trawling the largest national park in the world. At sunset we leave the Park to spend the night at our lodge on the perimeter.
