Tasks

• Processing of Invoices & Payments
• Reconciliation of Bank Statements & Petty Cash
• Preparing of Debtors & Creditor Statements
• Completing of VAT & PAYE monthly forms

Qualifications

• Grade 10/12
• At least 2 years bookkeeping experience
• Computer literate

HORSE RIDING GUIDE

Profile

You are a hard working horse and nature lover and a qualified and experienced rider who wants to guide outrides through a private game reserve and support our Horse & Stable Manager in the stable. You are mentally stable and able to enjoy the isolation of the Namibian bush savannah. Your are resilient and able to communicate with people from all walks of life. 

Tasks 

• Guiding groups with up to 6 guests of different riding abilities in the bush savannah giving explanations about the animals and plants in English and German (if possible)
• Preparing and accompanying special riding activities for guests (e.g. bush breakfasts, sundowners, accompanying overnight stays in the Bush Camp)
• Looking after guests before and after wildlife activities, e.g. conversations at the lodge, at dinner-time, at the bar or fireplace
• Taking responsibility of the horse safari business, e.g. selecting and checking cross-country courses, assignment of horses and riders (find the perfect match) and preparation work for safari rides like grooming and tackling up the horses
• Supporting Kambaku's Horse & Stable Management in taking care of our horses, taking part in the training (e.g. working with the horses in the school) as well as taking care of the equipment

Qualifications

• at least 1 year of professional experience, apprenticeship in horse riding, stable manager or similar qualifications. Certificates in guiding, instructing and training of horses and riders, riding instructor licence advantegous.
• Languages: English fluently, basic skills in German and French would be ideal
• Driving license

TRAINEE Riding Guide

2 years vocational training

You are a hard working person who loves nature and horses and is resilient and able to communicate with people from all walks of life. You are mentally stable and able to enjoy the isolation of the Namibian bush savannah. 

Tasks 

• Learning to guide groups with up to 6 riders in the bush savannah and giving explanations about the wildlife in English and German
• Learn how to take care and look after guests before and after safari rides, e.g. conversations, dinner
• Assisting and supporting the horse safari business, e.g. checking cross-country courses, tacking up horses for safari rides and riding lessons in the school
• Assisting the horse and stable management (taking care of the well-being of our 20 horses; learning to train horses and working horses in the school; taking care of and cleaning the equipment and the riding facilities, stables and yard)

Qualifications

• good horse care skills
• young and sporty
• enjoying riding, horses and experiencing nature
• Languages: English fluently, basic skills in German and French would be ideal 

 

This position is only available for Namibian citizens and permanent residence permit holders.


Kambaku Lodge is offering a student place to become a Riding Guide with practical training in the Lodge and theoretical units in the Kambaku Hospitality College. Internship Hospitality

You completed your vocational training in hotel business or studied hotel management and would like to support our Assistant Director in Kambaku's Lodge for three months. Highly-motivated, reliable and hardworking you want to share your experiences in hospitality and guest relations with our team. Your are able to deal with conflicts, are balanced and open for a stay in the remote areas of Namibia's bush savannah. 


Tasks

• Supporting the Lodge's Assistant Director/ In-Service Trainer


Qualifications

• Vocational training in 4 or 5 star rated hotels or resorts or university degree course in hotel management 

• Vocational experience in 4 or 5 star rated hotels or resorts 

Kambaku offers free lodging in a managers' single flat on-site, free staff meals as well as a salary in local Namibian Dollar. We offer comprehensive support including organizing and paying for work permit and visas. More information about salary, vacation, insurance, bonus and so forth will be shared with promising applicants in a personal interview. 

This internship is limited to three months.

Kambaku offers free lodging in a manager’s single flat on-site, free staff meals as well as a salary in local Namibian Dollar. We offer comprehensive support including organizing and paying for work permits and visas. Health insurance is mandatory, but will be subsidized by the company (participation in group contract with special rates and private medical services available).
