Horse RIDING GUIDE

Vacancy for excellent horseback rider from Namibia (citizen or PRP). 

LONGTERM

Requirements

  • Excellent horse riding skills – English or Western style

  • Proven track record as guide or in a customer facing role

  • Ability to communicate well in English

  • Willing to live in remote nature reserve 

  • flexible and friendly personality
  • African wildlife qualification or experience highly advantageous or at least eager to learn about wildlife (self study prior to arrival) to be able to explain Namibia's nature to guests
  • service-orientated personality and able to integrate into a team structure

This job offer is for Namibian citizens or PRP holders only!

Kambaku offers free lodging in a staff apartment and half board team meals. We will assist foreign riders in all organisational issues like visa, fees and more. More information are personally given to promising applicants via e-mail or interview.

Manager position to run our professional horse riding business (NA citizen or PRP).

Requirements

  • Qualification as horse riding instructor in English style of riding

  • Proven track record of managing large herd of horses

  • Qualification in horse care, feeding and equine first aid or at least 5 years’ experience in such a role

  • Ability to train young horse advantageous

  • Minimum 25 years of age
  • Ability to communicate well in English

  • Flexible and friendly personality
  • Ability to manage a diverse team of different cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to build an effective team and working structure
  • Willing to live in remote nature reserve

Vocational Training

This one year vocational training is a combination of online learning for the theory part and practical time on site for five weeks. Students will learn to identify and interpret the major living and non-living features of the natural environment in which s/he operates. You will gain sound knowledge of the various topics according to the FGASA‘s standards of guiding.

One year course on site to prepare for your FGASA exam as professional Field Guide or Field Guide with Horse Riding.

56 WEEKS COURSE

Vocational Training

This course is for nature enthusiasts who aim to become a qualified FGASA Field Guide. You will spend one year at KAMBAKU to learn all practical skills needed and gain further knowledge in the individual sub-areas of guiding.

Please note that you must absolve the 5 weeks „Apprentice Field Guide Course“ on site as well as the theoretical self study part online prior to the start of this professional course.
